Chef Adam Maddox is a native of Georgia who has been exposed to an abundance of southern culinary influence. While growing up in Atlanta’s suburbs he was no stranger to attending family run church fish fries and sampling grandma’s homemade desserts. Chef Adam encourages his guests to slow down their day-to-day tempo in southern style. Being surrounded by great southern home cooking, Chef Adam gained confidence at a very early age to create new flavors. Adam believes that it only makes sense to use local ingredients when cooking regional influenced dishes. “Procuring local and seasonal products is a must,” says Chef Adam.  “Locally grown food tastes better, is guaranteed to be fresh, and protects the environment.”

Chef Adam’s desire of preparing creative international culinary cuisine with a unique southern flare has been a driving force throughout his career.  This has been created by working with some of Atlanta’s finest chefs, a masterful education at The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park NY, and fulfilling an internship in the culinary capital of New Orleans.

While working at Gerard’s Downtown in New Orleans Chef Adam was given the opportunity to help open Artesia Manor with local celebrity Gerard Maras. There he experienced a true farm to table concept where the Chef grew nearly half of the restaurant’s produce. This is where Chef Adam fell in love with fresh produce and learned the importance of balancing his selection of fresh ingredients to properly compliment the dish being prepared.

Finding culinary homes with several mentors in an array of different concepts helped frame Chef Adam’s current style and range of techniques. He has first hand experience in working with many different types of cuisine; elegantly preparing classical French in fine dining restaurants to soulfully creating rustic comfort food in Irish Pubs.

With the loving support from Chef Adam’s family; wife Anna, daughter Madelyn and  son Charlie, he is able to fully engage his honed culinary skills and humble nature to EPIC events, a new and edgy full service catering company.  EPIC events is the newest division of the Metrotainment Café family of restaurants. Here, Chef Adam is ready to create for you stunning presentations using detailed preparations to produce your favorite tantalizingly delicious, mouthwatering culinary delights, making your next gathering an EPIC event!

Tippa McClure is no stranger to the Hospitality industry. Although she is an Atlanta native, she got her start by earning her Hospitality Management Degree from the University of Mississippi. Following graduation she returned to Atlanta and has had the opportunity to work for many local businesses, such as the Capital City Club Downtown, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, & A Peach of a Party Catering, just to name a few.

Through these experiences she has gained a well rounded wealth of industry knowledge which she applies to every client she works with.
